Lalaine Papel

Lalaine has taught elementary music for three years and is currently the Music Director at Irby Elementary in Alachua. She's working on her Master of Music in Music Education at UF, where she received her Bachelor's in Music Ed. She has taught private piano students of varying ages and skill levels for four years. A regular observer of Lalaine's music teaching says: "She combines theory with good practice skills and offers the kids a lot of exposure to different things. She's very positive and very passionate about music."

Lalaine is active in her church worship service, providing piano accompaniment to the ensemble at Victory Church in Gainesville, as well as working with young people through the youth ministry. Pastoral staff at Victory say of Lalaine, "She has a big heart and is very nurturing."

Lalaine's own goal is to "try to get students to experience music in a magical way." She has many good practice pointers and ways to keep young beginners and more advanced students focused on and inspired by music. The Kaley School is proud to offer Lalaine's instruction in Piano Levels 1-3.
